David Tennant starred in the Dreamworks remake of the movie Fright Night starring alongside Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. 

David played the character Peter Vincent who was played in the original movie Roddy McDowall as the host of a late-night horror show. 

In this remake he was a Las Vegas magician whose show revolves around horror-movie imagery. 

The press release explained:

'Vincent claims to be a vampire expert, but when the teen turns to him for assistance, he is less than helpful.' 

The movie was directed by Craig Gillespie and it was released through Disney. It is a 3D movie which was released on 19th August 2011 in the US and Friday 2nd September in Britain.

The David Tennant Treat 4 Today is a video interview with David from when he was promoting Gracepoint in the US during 2014.

David Tennant starred in the American remake of Broadchurch by the channel Fox. The remake was called Gracepoint. 

Filming started in late January 2014 in Canada and David played the same role but as an American detective called Emmett Carver. Anna Gunn played the role made famous by Olivia Colman, Ellie Miller. 

Gracepoint was broadcast on Fox in the US starting on 2nd October until 11th December 2014. It was 10 episodes in length.

The movie was filmed from Monday 6th July to Friday 28th August 2009 (although David Tennant was not needed for all that period).
