At least fans do not think they owe their beloved human being, like some moneymaking companies do. Fans may have an opinion, but that does not oblige celebrities to do anything they do not like, but business suits certainly do. There are many aspects, perhaps even weirdness of some people, but nothing like contract-defined public/media humiliations, which certainly is not demanded by the fandom. And being fan himself, DT's well-aware of that (appreciated). As for some moments, we all play along time to time, just to make the living.
