David Tennant played himself in the BBC Radio Four comedy Believe It! which was broadcast in 2012 and which was an exaggerated version of Scottish actor Richard Wilson's life with the main character being played by Richard.
The synopsis for episode 3 which was titled Boots was:
'Richard Wilson reveals why he sleeps with a pair of miners' boots by the bed.'
