David Tennant and Michael Sheen lead the cast in Staged which is a comedy series made for BBC One during lockdown. There were six episodes in the first series which started broadcast on Wednesday 10th June 2020.
Staged features the cast of a play who are furloughed when their upcoming West End production was suddenly brought to an halt. The series followed the cast as they tried their best to keep the rehearsals on track in lockdown.
Staged was based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phyl Glynn. It was written and directed by Simon Evans and was an Infinity Hill/GCB Films productions for BBC One. David Tennant and Michael Sheen were also executive producers for Staged.
A second series of Staged premiered on BBC One on Monday 4th January 2021.
