David Tennant Treat 4 Today for Thursday 3rd September 2020

The David Tennant Treat 4 Today is a clip of David Tennant from The RSC production of Richard II.

David Tennant starred in Richard II for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon from Thursday 10th October 2013 until Saturday 16th November 2013 (40 performances) before the production transferred to The Barbican Centre in London from 9th December 2013 until Saturday 25th January 2014 (45 performances).

David Tennant reprised his role as Richard II for The Royal Shakespeare Company during January 2016. This was part of a collaboration between The RSC and The Barbican Centre in London to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. The whole event ran between Saturday 7th November 2015 until Sunday 24th January 2016 but unfortunately there were only nine performances of Richard II. Between Thursday 24th March and Sunday 1st May 2016 several plays were performed at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM) Harvey Theater in New York. David Tennant played 10 performances of Richard II in the US.

In total David performed the play 104 times.

The performance on 13th November was screened in various cinemas around the world and was released on DVD.

Apologies if the video does not play in your country.
